Executive Privilege: Gov. Ignores Dem Convention Mask Rules

Democrats pretended to “follow the science” at their pre-primary convention Saturday. Party chair Jessica Velasquez announced that “attendees have verified that they are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus“ and “are required to wear a face mask at all times.”

That’s according to The Santa Fe New Mexican’s Daniel Chacon.

According to KOB4’s Alex Ross, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and district attorney Raul Torrez were recorded “dancing to a live mariachi band at the Democratic Party pre-party convention”— both unmasked.

Liberal elites love a good virtue signal, but not more than they enjoy reminding plebeians of their lowly place in society. That includes state workers, restaurant owners, and churches who faced terminations, permit revocations, and $5,000 fines for daring to make their own healthcare decisions.

The governor demonstrated to all New Mexicans that the rules don’t apply to her, and that the party’s rhetoric about “following COVID safety protocols” is pure theater.

“Rules for thee but not for me” is Grisham’s re-election mantra.
